people people people (pt 1)

Met so many MANY new friends, from all over the world. literally. These are some of the good friends that i managed to take picture with, and i am glad to have know them.

On the far left is my favourite friend, Henoch or Enoch. He is from Ethiopia. A lecturer in a university in Ethiopia and a bible study group leader, now doing masters in strategic project management. He is 28 years old 0.0 He told me about the spiritual revival going on in Ethiopia. After the collapse of the sosialist regime about 20 years ago, thousands upon thousands of people came to Christ at this particular church, pentacostal if you are curious. Before the collapse, there was only 1 church in the city, capital city. Now nearly 20 years later, there are about 100 of them !!! Praise God! The church is called Full Gospel Assembly, familiar?? :P
The other guy is Victor, from Nigeria, and there are a good few of them here too. Doing his masters in petroleum engineering. He told me Nigeria is developing so rapidly recently, and they are expanding into petroleum which is really untapped, holding up to a billion barrel in reserves, or more! And that Petronas has huge investments in Nigeria too. He also said that it was the Malaysians who sort of "stole" their palm tree seeds and made it into a huge market in Malaysia. Haha. Is that true????

Next up is this guy called Melchior, from Belgium. Also doing masters in stategic project management (SPM, ahah). He told me that his people is sort ofdiscriminated according to the French speaking and the Dutch speaking, and the French speaking (including him, lol) are given priority in everything. He is 24 years old. a very pleasant friend to have.

Okay, dont misunderstand kay. I know she is holding my hand. She is also doing SPM! And she is 25 years old. Her name is Lina and is from China, Guangzhou is think. This is what she told me (rephrased).
God doesnt exist in China.
The only thing they do during CNY is watch fireworks -.-
There is no tradition and religion in China!! Its empty!
The most logical thing to fill in that gap with is well, MONEY. Imagine a billion empty people thinking only of money.
I asked her about god, and she said to ask that in China is the most shocking question that can ever be asked.
Are you worried? haha, so am i.

This is a group photo of my new friends. On the left is also another guy doing masters in SPM. I think i should join their course instead of doing actuarial, haha. Name is Irwin and is from India. A lecturer in a university. Didnt really get to talk to him but we do meet regularly at the chaplaincy, although he is not a believer.

This guy is Kevin, from singapore, doing Masters in actuarial science. (Everyone i met is doing masters) On scholarship. Need i say more??
This is William, from Nigeria. Doing Masters in Petroleum Engineering. Alot of the Nigerians i met are under gov scholarship to study this course. A pentacostal christian.
Another 2 more pentacostal christian. The lady is Corlat, from Trinidad and Tobago. She is one strong believer that really encouraged me. She is ALSO doing masters SPM. That guy is Bensen, from Kenya. Didnt get to ask him how is god moving in his country but i will one day. Doing his Masters in robotics.
Okay, finally a Malaysian. Hahaha. His name is Alvin and doing his honors year in actuarial. Gave me some very useful tips. I forgot where he came from. He is not a christian but do see him once awhile during the free meals.
I meet like 10 people a day, too many things to talk about. Pt 2 will be out soon. Hahahahah.
Keep me in your prayers, yet to find a church. Bye!
